Building character turnaround sheets with AI
June 2, 2026 · 4 min read
A turnaround sheet is the backbone of character work — it's the reference everything else is built from. Drawing one by hand, or rendering it from a 3D model, is slow.
The hard part isn't drawing another angle; it's identity. A rotation is only useful if the face, hair, and palette stay locked from frame to frame, and that consistency is exactly what MultiAngle is built around. Today, AI Headshots applies it to portraits — one reference photo in, a coordinated set of identity-locked headshots out.
Full turnaround and rotation sheets are on the roadmap, building on that same identity lock so game artists, animators, and VTubers can start from a single portrait instead of a 3D rig. Because identity is held across frames, the character reads as the same person from every side — exactly what downstream tools and pipelines need.
